Independence & Neutrality

  • As a mediator, François is a neutral and unbiased intermediary, who facilitates the discussion of issues in dispute between the parties by: (a) assisting them to understand each other’s underlying concerns and values; (b) facilitating the generation of options to each of the issues; and (c) guiding the parties towards settlement by negotiation in a positive and constructive atmosphere
  • Please note that, as an impartial mediator, François cannot offer legal advice to the parties, nor represent any party during or after the mediation; hence, it is important, before any mediation session begins, that the parties seek independent legal advice from their own lawyer
